Tusker FC will be playing Azam Uganda premier league 2017 champions KCCA FC in an international friendly in January 22nd at the Ruaraka Stadium, Nairobi.
The match will be used to check the players’ level of competitiveness as the league is set to commence on February 3rd 2018. As for KCCA side they are gearing up for their final league campaign, Ugandan Cup and the 2018 CAF Champions League, where they face Madagascar's CNaPS Sport in the preliminary round.
This is good news for the team and the players in particular. KCCA is a good side, I have seen them play and they have played Tusker before so its not something that has just spark. KCCA FC is coached by Mike Hillary Mutebi. A recap when Tusker travelled to Uganda to play them in December 2016, Mutebi’s side won by a scoreline of 3-2, Tusker goals coming from former palyers, Anthony Ndolo and Stephen Owusu.
The newly recruited brewer, Lawrence Kasadha will play against his former side come Monday at Ruaraka.
KCCA FC have won twelve league championship titles and eight Ugandan Cup titles, along with a CECAFA Clubs Cup win at the regional level. They will represent Uganda at the 2018 CAF Champions League.
