Tusker played to a 5-4 score line against Sofapaka fc in an early kick off at Machakos stadium. Mathew Odongo and Apollo Otieno opened their score sheet for Tusker fc as Hashim Sempala and Jackson Macharia scored their first also for the season.

The loss denied Tusker their second win of the season after successfully leading the scores four times during the match until the late score by Umar Kasumba denied Tusker the 3 points leaving Tusker go down to number 14 on the league table and Hashim Sempalamissing the next match as he was issued the second yellow of the game and sent to an early change.

It was a match that had goals compared to the past matches that Tusker has played since the league started in February and was also the match that we conceded much.

Sofapaka Scored an early goal in the 2nd minute when Aswani found a loose ball and scored. Minutes later Mathew Odongo opened his score sheet for Tusker after a throw in from Achema found Kevin Kimani who cleared the ball and found Mathew waiting ready for it he simply curved it to the corner of the post to equalize the scores

Lawrence Kasadha and Eric Ambunya were issued with yellow cards in the first half in the 7th and 34th minute.

Tusker through Apollo Otieno hit the net for the second time after once again clearance from the Sofapaka defender found him just outside the 18-yard box and with a thunderbolt of a shot went directly inside the net to make his first goal at Tusker.

This left the first half scores end with Tusker leading and both teams still creating a number of chances in front of each other’s goal.

Coming into the second half of the game, in the 48th minute of the game Bonventure Khasabuli fouled Waruru inside theand a penalty was awarded to Sofapaka which Kigonya stepped up and converted it hence equalizing scores at Machakos stadium.

 

Minutes after in the 52nd, Hashim Sempala scored from a well curved angle that send the ball at the back of Kigonya with no touch. In the 53rd Kepha Aswani was on the mark equalizing again after Byrne Omondi was found outside his position.

Tusker scored in the 55th minute when Achema Robert supplied the ball which found Macharia who headed in the goal.

In the  62nd minute Sofapaka made a substitution in came Umar Kasumba who scored a brace as a substitute making the match end at 5-4.

Coach Timbe made substitutions bringing in Justine Omary for Bonventure Khasabuli, Michael Khamati for Jackson Macharia and Boniface Muchiri for Mathew Odongo.
