Tusker FC assistant captain Eugene Asike has called on the team to remain grounded and take each game at a time, in the run in towards the BetKing Premier League and Football Kenya Federation Betway Cup trophies.

The team bounced back from back to back draws to win 4-0 away to Vihiga United in Mumias, a result that has boosted the team’s morale and motivation.

“It was a much needed win especially after drawing the last two games. The team showed character, great responsibility and personality to get the three points. It was a must win match for us and everyone rose to the occasion,” Asike said.

The victory came at a time when the fellow title contenders dropped points and as much as Asike says the results from other games added them some morale to win, they will keep their eyes focused on their own results.

“I believe it motivated us but for us, the most important thing is focusing on our games. We want to get good results and take each match at a time,”

“We need to stay together, keep working hard and not get carried away or get too excited after the huge win on Sunday,” he added.
