Joined Tusker in June 2017, Boniface Muchiri has improved from last year where he had 18 appearances, 2 goals and 2 assists; in 2018 he has so far 10 goals; 8 in the league matches and 2 in the Sportpesa shield knockout tournament.
In August 2018, out of three matches played against Kakamega Homeboyz, Bandari and Zoo fc, Muchiri has managed to pick 3 goals for himself a brace Against Homeboyz and a goal against Zoo. After serving his suspension which made him absent in the Bandari match, Muchiri came with a bang scoring a beauty against Zoo from Ruaraka grounds.
He put up a brilliant commanding and assured performance having a lot of shots on target which were being picked up by the away keeper but at last he got his beauty.
Muchiri believes the performance he put up was down to head coach Robert Matano, technical bench and team mates who entrusted him and gave him support.
Muchiri has ten goals under his name this season and gracious about his form.
“I feel good about the goal and the win because we trained well as a team the whole week so we knew what we wanted and how to approach the game. We created alot of chances in the first half but it did not go well coming back for the second half at least we utilized the chance we got.”
“Am just grateful for the opportunity and the hard work we’ve put together as a team and as an individual I know everyone has a target so it’s just a matter of working hard and leave God to do the rest.” He added.
Your target ?
“My target is to score as many goals as possible so long as I get a chance.”
On his stay at Tusker FC:
“I am enjoying football at the moment. I can do anything with the ball and my team mates also give me the support, the technical bench; everyone has given me the support I need. There’s no way that one can be the best without teamwork. My teammates are part of my progress,” finalized Muchiri
