Tusker Youth continued their winning streak with a 3-1 win at Ruaraka grounds on Saturday afternoon in a FKF Regional league match against Korogocho FC.
The three second half strikes from Eric Zakayo, Afally Serge and Adrian Tasso secured the three points at home for the Brewers.
Coach Aggrey Evayo and his team made only few changes to the lineup that played Leventis last weekend.
After the referee signaled the game to kick off, Korogocho youth got the game underway and saw them have some sharp attack on the Tusker side though the solid backline was quick to protect their goal post.
Later on in the match Tusker were in control of possession forcing the away goalkeeper to come off his line most of the times with Mario Kakai, Thomas Onah and Michael Muaka sending in some strong shots towards the goal.
The Home team had a chance to take the lead in the 30th minute but the referee ruled Thomas offside after cutting through the away team’s defense. The few shots on target brought the first half to an end with nothing to smile about.
Both teams returned after recess Tusker making one change introducing Adrian Tasso for Thomas Onah.
In the 62nd minute of the match, Zakayo from a well calculated cross from Muaka found him close to the net and quickly capitalized on the opportunity to score the opener. The away team applied pressure and a minute later equalized before the celebration could be digested. Tusker made more changes introducing Afally Serge who netted a beautiful header to double Tusker’s advantage.
In what seemed to be a game changer, the away team was disorganized and Tusker now enjoyed possession of the ball as Korogocho youth remained on the receiving end. In the 90th minute, Adrian Tasso beauty shot piled more misery on the away team securing the three points for Tusker.
