Tusker FC captain Eugene Asike says the team is focused and motivated ahead of this afternoon’s duel against Bandari at the Mbaraki Complex in Mombasa.
The defender says the players know just how important the match is and will give their best to get maximum points. Asike says the team has picked lessons from last weekend’s loss to City Stars, saying they don’t want to drop points again.
“There is morale in the camp and everyone is looking forward to the game. We want to go there and have a positive bounce back after the loss to City Stars. We have reflected on the game and we have worked on what we did wrong,” says the defender.
Despite the point difference at the top being just one, Aike says the team is under no pressure and are just focused on getting positive results in the remaining games of the season.
“We are focusing on our games and not those behind us. If we can get positive results in the next five games we are home and dry,” he says.
