Tusker FC progressed to the round of 32 of the Football Kenya Federation Betway Cup after a 9-0 thrashing of National Division Two side Mihuu United in Bungoma on Saturday.
Captain of the day Mike Madoya scored thrice with Luke Namanda adding a brace in the massive win.
Namanda opened the floodgate of goals with a shot from the near post before Madoya scored the first of his three with a smart finish off Boniface Muchiri’s cross. Henry Meja then forced Mihuu into an own goal with his shot from range being deflected by a defender beyond his own keeper.
Madoya then made it 4-0 at halftime when Meja turned provider, cutting back a cross for the pint sized midfielder who drove a neat shot past the keeper.
In the second half, Tusker continued in the same scoring form with Apollo Otieno making a replica of the two goals he scored in the midweek friendly matches against Kibera Black Stars, striking a belter from 35 yards out.
George Odhiambo who had just come off the bench then made it six before Charles Ashitiva tapped in for number seven off a goalmouth scramble. Namanda then completed his brace with a simple tap in before Madoya wrapped up his claim of the match ball with a header from close range.
