Ahead of the protracted resumption of the BetKing Premier League this weekend, Tusker FC players and officials underwent the mandatory COVID-19 tests at the Ruaraka Training Ground on Wednesday morning.
This is the first step towards a resumption of the league following a seven-week break occasioned by Presidential directives to suspend sports over growing number of COVID-19 infections.
On Labour Day, the Head of State announced the lifting of the suspension of sports, paving way for the return of football.
“We are happy that we can see a sign that things are getting back. As a team, we are ready, though we know it will be tough after such a long break,” said head coach Robert Matano.
