Tusker FC thumped KCB FC 3-1 in a Sportpesa premier league tie played at the Kenyatta stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Lloyd Wahome, Sydney Ochieng and Timothy Otieno goals was all Tusker needed to get the maximum points from the bankers and send the team to the 5th position.

The game was electric from the onset with Tusker going all out to attack. In the 6th minute, it paid off when Captain Lloyd Wahome capitalized on the mistake of the away goalkeeper and a well taken corner from Boniface Muchiri to score an early goal for the match.

Minutes later, Simon Munala paved through the Tusker defense to equalize scores after miscommunication from the defenders.

Tusker continued enjoying possession and in the 20th minute Sydney Ochieng was issued a pass from Jackson Macharia and he sliced it past the goalkeeper who was already of his line to double Tusker’s advantage.

Coming back after recess, Coach Robert Matano made changes in the 69th minute introducing Peter Nzuki for Jackson Macharia and in the 76th minute Kevin Omondi was brought in for second goal scorer Sydney Ochieng. Boniface Muchiri took a short corner take to Kevin Omondi who with his first touch sent in a cross to Timothy Otieno who easily headed in to end the year on a high.

Tusker will play Vihiga united next on 2nd January 2019 at the Ruaraka grounds with a 3pm kick off.
