Assistant coach Charles Okere says the two week break has helped the team revitalize and refresh, while also giving the coaching team an opportunity to work on errors from previous games and re-focus on the remaining half of the season.
The team has had a two week break since the last match against Ulinzi Stars, a game that ended 1-0 in favor of the brewers.
“I believe it has been a good opportunity for us to go back to the drawing board and plan well for the remaining games of the season and most importantly, our next game against Nairobi City Stars. The break has been also good for us to try and look at areas where we needed improvement and worked on them,” Okere states.
He adds; “Offensively we were doing well but we had some few lapses in compact defending and that is one of the things we have tried to work on and perfect,” the coach notes.
Looking forward to the game against City Stars, Okere says the team has worked to focus on how to play well, though he admits City Stars are a tough team.
“For us, the most important thing is how we play as a unit and our game plan. We know we are facing a tough City Stars side, but the focus has been on us and how we can get maximum points,” the coach added.
The game kicks off at 1pm EAT.
