Robert Matano admitted that his side lost control of the game and majorly the midfield as Kariobangi Sharks scored 5 goals to 2 in a Kenyan Premier League match played at Camp Toyoyo on Saturday afternoon.

The Brewers had equalized scores at half time with Timothy Otieno’s goal before coming for the second half where John Kamau made his second goal for the team and for the match.

“We did not play well in the midfield and we were not fast for second ball so we let them dominate the game and at the end we were punished.” that is how Robert Matano summed up the proceedings speaking to www.tuskerfc.co.ke on Saturday evening.

“Things did not work out for us and we will need to go back to training and rectify our mistakes. Those are moments in football.”

Before the match Tusker had made good progress having won three of its matches starting from the Sportpesa shield against Bandari, Away match in Vihiga and Nakumatt in Ruaraka.

“We will react to this defeat. The players will need to put this behind them as we have an equally difficult task coming. We have to bounce back for sure,” added Matano.

Focus shifts to Sportpesa shield knock out where Tusker is set to face Bungoma superstars Football club.
